Review
This is an excellent book and is ideal for men who are worried about erectile dysfunction (ED) or impotence, and their partners who need to have precise information about the subject.
The authors are long established practitioners in sexual health as a sex and relationship therapist and a GP. They have written a very comprehensive book in just over 100 pages which covers basics such as how a couple can talk together about sex, and what to expect on going to a doctor or to a sex therapist.
Best of all is the book's breadth. It covers, in a relaxed and easy style, not only the causes of ED and its management in detail, but also the effects of heart disease, diabetes, prostate problems including the effects of a cancer operation, and testosterone deficiency.
At last, sufferers' partners get a lot of attention in the book, and there are chapters on the menopause, the right positions for sex and how to manage increasing age. One of the best parts is a series of case studies, and there are Hot Tips for each chapter, all enlivened by some funny and apposite cartoons by Graham Hagan throughout the book. The appendices cover useful contacts, a questionnaire for men to see if they have ED, and one on pelvic floor exercises for women, and men too.
This is a book that can be thoroughly recommended to any man, and his partner, who is troubled by ED. It's excellent value and it's cheap at the price!
